VICOSTONE at Offsite26: Advancing Innovation and Sustainability in Construction

15/09/2026 02:00

VICOSTONE Australia was proud to take part in Offsite26, the prefabAUS Annual Conference, joining leaders from across Australia’s prefabricated and modular construction industry to explore the future of more efficient and sustainable building.

At Offsite26, VICOSTONE also introduced The New Signatures Collection, our latest range of surface designs created to bring distinctive character, refined aesthetics and contemporary versatility to modern residential and commercial spaces.

For VICOSTONE, being part of Offsite26 reflects our commitment to supporting innovation within Australia’s built environment and to developing surface solutions that respond to the changing expectations of architects, designers, builders and manufacturers.

Introducing The New Signatures Collection

Offsite26 provided an opportunity for VICOSTONE to present The New Signatures Collection to the architecture, construction and manufacturing community.

Inspired by nature and designed for contemporary spaces, the collection introduces a new generation of surface designs with refined veining, distinctive tones and a strong focus on visual character.

Through The New Signatures Collection, VICOSTONE continues to combine design development with advanced manufacturing technology, creating surfaces intended to complement evolving architectural and interior trends.

Building Smarter Through Innovation

Australia’s construction industry is undergoing significant change.

Modern Methods of Construction, including prefabrication and offsite manufacturing, are increasingly being recognised for their potential to improve quality, consistency, efficiency and environmental performance.

By shifting more construction activity into controlled manufacturing environments, prefabrication can enable greater precision, improved material efficiency and more consistent outcomes across projects.

These principles closely align with VICOSTONE’s own approach to manufacturing: combining advanced technology, controlled production processes and continuous product innovation to deliver surfaces designed for contemporary projects.

Sustainability Through VICOSTONE® ECO Surfaces

As the building industry moves towards more considered construction methods, material selection also plays an increasingly important role.

VICOSTONE® ECO Surfaces are Crystalline Silica-Free surfaces containing less than 1% crystalline silica, developed as part of VICOSTONE’s ongoing commitment to material innovation and more responsible surface solutions.

Manufactured using advanced Italian Breton® technology and BIOQUARTZ® materials, the range combines contemporary design with the performance required for residential and commercial applications.

Our approach to sustainability extends into the manufacturing process, with initiatives including renewable energy, 100% recycled wastewater and the use of recycled materials.

For architects, builders and manufacturers working within prefabricated and modular construction, these developments provide another opportunity to consider how material innovation can contribute to more responsible project outcomes.

Designed for Modern Methods of Construction

Prefab and modular construction demand materials that can work within highly coordinated and precise production environments.

Consistency, dimensional flexibility and reliable performance are particularly important when components are manufactured offsite and later assembled as part of a complete building system.

VICOSTONE® ECO Surfaces are available in Jumbo 3300 × 1650 mm and Super Jumbo 3454 × 2007 mm slab formats, providing greater flexibility when planning larger benchtops, wall applications and feature surfaces.

The larger slab format can also provide designers and fabricators with greater flexibility when planning layouts and, depending on the application, help reduce the number of joins required.

Combined with VICOSTONE’s broad design range, these formats provide architects, builders and manufacturers with greater freedom when integrating surface materials into contemporary residential and commercial projects.

Connecting Design, Manufacturing and Sustainability

One of the key strengths of Offsite26 is its ability to bring together different parts of the built environment under one roof.

Architects, engineers, manufacturers, builders, suppliers and industry leaders all play a role in determining how the next generation of Australian buildings will be designed and delivered.

For VICOSTONE, this is an important conversation.

The future of construction will not be shaped by a single technology or material. It will depend on how design, manufacturing, technology and responsible material choices work together across the entire project lifecycle.

Supporting the Future of Australia’s Built Environment

Our participation in Offsite26 reflects VICOSTONE Australia’s broader commitment to working alongside the professionals shaping the future of construction.

Through ongoing investment in manufacturing technology, the introduction of The New Signatures Collection and the continued development of VICOSTONE® ECO Surfaces, we continue to explore how surface materials can respond to new approaches in architecture, modular construction and offsite manufacturing.

We were pleased to be part of Offsite26 and to connect with architects, builders, manufacturers and industry professionals who share a commitment to innovation and better building outcomes.

As Modern Methods of Construction continue to grow across Australia, VICOSTONE looks forward to contributing to a built environment where design, performance, efficiency and sustainability work together.
